Ihave personally tried to upgrade it, don't believe the lies and unhelpful customer service scripts, aspire 4 a515-45-r74z only has ONE memory slot, compatible with a max of 16gb. Only one extra slot on mine. I added another 8GB to match the size on the mother board.
Myold notebook is Acer Aspire V7-482PG, with 4gb ram on board and only one slot for expansion. Mysuggestion to you is to install and do the Crucial System Scan as that will tell you the exact RAM specs and max capacity suitable for your AN515-57, which is a max of 64GB YES 64GB at 2x 32GB at DDR4-2666MHz (which Crucial recommends) and the second max capacity is 32GB 2x 16GB at DDR4-3200MHz.
