26. Points. 13. Oct 31, 2017. #1. Hi guys, just fitted new Crosland fuel filter as part of oil and filter service for my 2007 1.9 jtd 16valve multijet 150. For some reason, after priming filter with 5/6 key turns to mar position, I now have `check fuel filter` warning on dash. Anyone had this and whats the solution ?

Where have you found the information that, if a 2006-2011 Fiat Ducato X250 vehicle has the plastic-bodied UFI fuel-filter unit, it will be practicable to replace that unit with a metal fuel-filter (presumably the metal canister filter fitted to later Ducato X250sand X290 models)? Today i purchased a fuel filter element from Fiat Parts for my Ducato 2.8jtd 2005, I was informed that a different part is now being specified. Four years ago i fitted fuel filter part number F0000077362340, Fiat are now supplying F0000077365902. Unfortunately the parts guy was unable to confirm why the part has changed. Once the engine has been primed with fuel by the electric pump, it is no longer necessary in normal temperatures because the engine pump will suck the fuel right through from the tank - (so the old anti-theft idea of fitting a secret switch for the electric pump won't work) Its only when you have run out of fuel, change the filter etc so the Diesel Particulate Filter. The Fiat Ducato diesel particulate filter (DPF) warning light switches on constantly to alert the driver that filter system is blocked and requires elimination of trapped pollution particulates through regeneration process. This is usually done automatically but when the light comes on, the system requires driver input.
